INGREDIENTS |
1 Avocado |
1 orange |
1 tbsp powdered ginger or grated fresh ginger |
350-600mls almond milk or coconut milk (the less you use, the thicker it is). Another option here is coconut milk powder |
1–2 tbsp coconut syrup (can use maple syrup or sweetener of your choice) |
1 tbsp spirulina powder |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
Chia seeds, granola or topping of choice. |
Optional - your choice of protein powder |
METHOD |
Place peeled avocado and orange in a blender, add the grated ginger, coconut or almond milk, syrup, spices, and spirulina. |
Blend until creamy and smooth then pour into two glasses. |
Optional – For much thicker smoothies add in 1 tbsp chia seed or 1 scoop protein powder into the mixx while blending. For creamier smoothies, add 2 tbsp chilled coconut milk. |
Garish with granola, chia seeds, frozen berries, fresh fruit - anything that takes your fancy. |
